HELI FISHING PACKAGE
If you are after something a little different then this fishing trip has your name all over it. Based out of Karumba in the Gulf of Carpentaria, you will fly to some of the most remote rivers systems in the gulf targeting Barramundi. Your pilot Justin has lived in the gulf for 20 years and loves to share his experience with others from the air.
The beauty of this package is the ability to access areas that are rarely fished and hard to reach by vehicle during the wet season. On your way to the fishing spots, you will fly over massive flood plains and swamps teaming with wildlife and will soon realise that the fishing really is an added bonus on this tour.
How Long Is It For ?
A minimum of 2 days is required for this package however it can be as long as you please. Karumba is very remote though so at least 3 days is recommended.
How Many People Can Go ?
The R44 helicopter seats 3 guests however 2 is recommended as the weight will restrict the distance you can travel.
When Does It Operate ?
Barramundi season is closed in Queensland from October through to February. During this period though, there is the option to fish over the Northern Territory border which does not have a closed season for Barramundi. Late september and late March/early April is recommended.
