Located on the west coast of Cape York Peninsular, Weipa is Outside Edge Adventures original fishing experience. Weipa is well known for it’s fishing diversity and can provide anglers with some exciting fishing experiences.
We cater for fisherman of all experience and use only the best local guides to ensure that you are in capable hands to land a fish of a lifetime. Whether you are after estuary fishing, flats fishing or blue water options we are confident that we can satisfy your needs to keep you coming back for more. Whilst in Weipa you will experience some breathtaking scenery and will understand why Cape York is a bucket list fishing destination for anglers from all around the world.
How Long Is It For ?
Like all of Outside Edge Adventures packages, they are tailored to meet you needs. Packages from 4 nights up to 7 nights are welcomed.
How Many People Can Go ?
During your time in Weipa, you will be fishing on a custom built 6.8m Hooker sports fishing vessel along with a custom built 6.5m plate centre console both matched with Honda 250’s. The boats can fish 3 customers so groups of 6 are welcomed.
When Does It Operate ?
Weipa is open for fishing all year round however the barramundi season is closed in Queensland from October through to February. April, May is the best time of year to visit Weipa as the temperature is usually more comfortable and the wet season is generally over. Charters are generally from 7am-4pm however alternative options can be organised on request.
